ZION BISCHOFF

The Zion Memorial Classic is a tribute to the enduring legacy of Zion Bischoff. A beloved son, brother, and teammate, Zion was a cornerstone of the Palouse Cougars basketball program from its very beginning. He went to be with the Lord in the fall of 2024 at the age of thirteen.

Zion’s character was defined by his profound care for people and his love for Jesus. He had a unique gift for making everyone, of any age, feel seen and included. Off the court, his life was a testament to kindness and genuine connection.

On the court, he was a force of passion and energy. His competitive spirit and dedication led to him receiving the first-ever Spark Plug Award for his team—an honor the club has since named after him. His pursuit of excellence was always guided by sportsmanship and a love for his community.

This tournament seeks to honor his memory by celebrating the values he embodied: fierce competition, strong community, and heartfelt camaraderie.
